a Snake's Close Call

the way i got it figured, i was the only thing between this rattlesnake and certain, indiscriminate, deadly stigma. found it on a street in my neighborhood full of people who believe the only good rattlesnake is a dead rattlesnake. i captured and relocated him.

    thanks John! i agree. i believe the patterns are more vibrant because this is a young snake.

    Good for you! I'm convinced that in most cases relocation (instead of killing them) is the best way to deal with these guys! After all, they eat mice and rats which, in my oppinion, represent a much greater health risk (from diseases) than the rattle snakes do. So props to you! Oh, and great photograph as well!
