Death Knocks...
The only play I directed, that was not my choice... Death Knocks, by Woody Allen. It was a nightmare. I had an actress that played Death... She made the choice to use an accent that just did not work; but I could not get her to stop. She sounded like the Ant-Eater from the Pink Panther cartoon. It was just a disaster. And my Nat... Well, honestly, I don't remember him... It was the last time I did work that was not my choice. Can we say learning experience?

First off, your comment is hilarious. Secondly, the pic is wonderfully creepy and happnin! With the bright colors surrounding the Grim Reaper, you almost find yourself , well, loving death! Alas, Poor Yorick, these vivid and garish colors just won't let him rest. Day O'the Dead iconography makes skulls and such so hip! Love the pic!

Satchel Paige's "Rules for Staying Young" (and avoiding the Grim Reaper as long as you can)
1. "Avoid fried meats which angry up the blood."
2. "If your stomach disputes you, lie down and pacify it with cool thoughts."
3. "Keep the juices flowing by jangling around gently as you move."
4. "Go very light on the vices, such as carrying on in society — the social ramble ain't restful."
5. "Avoid running at all times."
6. "And don't look back — something might be gaining on you."
Good luck in your future plays...oh...and very cool photo.
