Witches Barn
This photo is hot! Share it!
Dilapidated barn in western Cranston, RI. I doubt that an actual witch lives here, but the roofline reminded me of a witches hat. I really love the look of dr5 cross processing on old, wooden buildings. I also love the camera's 6x9 aspect ratio which emphasizes the height of the imposing structure. It almost seems as if it will crumble down on top of you from this angle.
Oh, is the theme "House Hunting"? I thought it was "House Haunting"... ;-)
Check out Nicole Mabry's story and accompanying photos if you would like to know more about this processing.

Created using my 1950's AGFA Clack with Efke R50 120 (iso 50) B&W film cross processed with dr5. Positive (slide) scanned with my Epson v700 Perfection scanner. No digital manipulation used!

This undefined yellowish colour suits the image of this house!
Rough texture, and the star-shaped roof is really decorative.
Optimistic light behind the house; like that!

My first thought was Paul just met the Elephant Man. But then he was a sort of witch to the ignorant, like me, right? I can see the witch in this shot, even without squinting, and the witch seems curiously tall, so the aspect ratio has cast its spell properly. Good magic here . . .
