I've seen these tags thrown up in spots all around NYC. I like to think it's the City's way of reciprocating everyone's love for it. I'm probably wrong about that but it's very nice to look up at a wall and see the words "i love you" regardless of whether or not I know who wrote it. Oddly enough, when I took this photo, near the corner of Varick and Houston, I was having a hard time dealing with a particularly nasty smell somewhere nearby. This cleared all that up.
