Hi there!

"um... dad?"

"I know, kid. I know. It's freaking me out too."

this was taken at a popular parking lot in Victoria BC. Pretty much sums it all up for me. We so adore our natural beauty here that when we demolish it for parking lots, golf courses and condos we replace it with a nice mural of what used to be there before we demolished it for a parking lot or a golf course or a condo...
insult to injury.

hey!!!! I know that. Thats right by Value Village and Capital Iron. I've examined that wall a million times and never thought to shoot it like this. Perfect interpretation.
    My vote to you.

yeah, The wall has always slightly offended me. I wandered through that lot dozens of times and knew there was something to be done with it... couldn't put my finder on it. Patience prevailed. Though I wish the truck was of the increasingly popular and horribly disgusting monster truck variety.

It's as though the artist of the mural painted the bear to look sad about the parking lot. It's gaze is right on.
What's even more outrageous is that the parking spots are numbered. Nature vs. man-made differ so violently in this photo: nature is known as a wild force, not to be challenged, which has no set rules; the man-made world presented in this photo is flat, bland, regimented (the numbers) and seem to categorize nature in the same way if you notice the brick pattern showing through the mural.
    Great capture for this theme.
