Djupavik Herring Factory. Iceland.08
THERE IS NO WORD FOR LOVE
I KNEW IT AS SOON AS I SAW THE WAVES
COMBING BACK THE SEA
THROUGH A COLD CLOUD HANGING LOW
BEYOND A LONE HOUSE, LOOKING
LIKE IT HAD LEANED INTO THE WIND FOREVER.
THE SIGHT STOLE EVERY QUESTION
AND THE USUAL EXPRESSIONS HAD LOST THEIR RIGHT
TO SUMMARIZE MY POSITION
WHILE THE NARRATOR WOUND US AROUND
AND OVER AND DOWN INTO ICY CORNERS
STIRRING UP BENT IMAGES OF FISH NETS
AND SAYING WHAT COULDN'T BE WRITTEN
ON A POSTCARD

Man, I'm glad you made yourself get up...I can't even imagine how you felt!

yeah - well maybe i exaggerated just a teence about the 'hard to wake up' part while in Iceland. but there sure have been plenty of other days where i've woken up forgetting all about wanting to create - which makes getting up a bit harder. but this morning, getting up was a BREEZE!
i have to know where you live rachel. Colorado? -

Great gritty image. The 'noise' adds to the B&W conversion.
