Mosaic alley is a part of Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens project created by Isaiah Zagar. The landmark is on well known South Street and visited by people all over the world. In an effort to revitalize an area of dilapidated housing and warehouses, Isaiah and his wife began this project. This effort is said to be the beginning of a South Street Renaissance. Mosaic row houses, store fronts and alleys are now also seen in adjacent buildings in the South Street area.
