Bloomington, Illinois
Full story: I was on my way to a John Deere press event when I decided to turn off the main highway and explore the flat, country roads of central Illinois. Picture miles of corn fields in every direction, broken only by a perfect grid of asphalt roadway. When I saw this barn poking over the tall corn stalks, I pulled to the side of the road and got out to get a shot. I held the camera as high as I could -- arms fully extended in the air. It took me several tries to get the right composition, and in the meantime a farmer drove past on his big John Deere tractor. He asked if I needed help. Nice people there in the Illinois.
