Lost in Thought
A gorilla captive in the Oklahoma City Zoo. It is awesome to be able to see a gorilla first hand and be so close. Although being able to experience this is wonderful, what part of humanity tells us that we can keep an animal, or in this case a mammal, captive. Many say that this gorilla is living better than I do. No matter what you do to provide for or pamper this gorilla, it's still in a cage. Some may say that most of these animals are born in captivity and that they don't understand their lack of freedom. I'm sure they understand quite well when they see you leave and they can't. Then again, those gorilla habitats are pretty nice...

But we understand with a 4 megapixel camera cropping and JPG don't mix! (-; How'd you get this close? That's beautiful.

Fabulous shot, and a very true message with it. It is really, really pathetic that we want to encage and "own" any and everything we like to see or appreciate. Brilliant photograph, gets my vote!
