Rocky Point Entrance
Rhode Island's beloved Rocky Point.
This entrance gate led Rhode Islanders and many others to their summer haven, which consisted of rides, swimming & clamcakes.
I liked how the developer crated a little small sun in the corner.
In this particular Polaroid, you can see a flaw in the expired film or the CoolCam itself. The roller makes a clean line down the middle and leaves two magenta strips to the left and right. Its on all of the Polaroids but more noticable here.
This entrance gate was demolished in June of 2007. It was the last item to be demolished after the park had been vacant for over a decade after it declared bankruptcy in the mid 90's.
**I was the still photographer for the local documentary that was done on Rocky Point. It's called: "You Must Be This Tall: The Story Of Rocky Point Park." For more info go to www.rockypointmovie.com**

Man I miss this place. Not that I even live on that side of the country anymore. Wish I could bring the kids there when we go back home.
