I used a yellow filter to get that background color and the sun is just behind my subject in a really foggy day to get the contrast. If you pay attention you'll see that the thickest tree branch is out of focus and I just love that detail.

the sky wasn't yellow. That's the result of the yellow filter used for the picture, without it the sky would have looked plain white.
