Utah has a lot of pine trees, and just because they're green all year... doesn't make them colorful to me.
East Canyon is where I go to be alone, to think, or to take in the simple beauty of the earth. It has little patches of aspens here and there, amongst all those boring evergreens, and I really treasure them. I love that they are different everytime I come to visit them, and I guess that's what I really don't like about evergreens: It's changes that make things unique and interesting to watch. It's nice to be something all year round, but I like watching the new emerge from the old. I love these trees, and now I can take them with me when I can't make the drive to visit.
