Ceiling Art At The Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas (2)
Las Vegas, Nevada: Have not stayed there yet, but the Venetian Hotel is certainly a favorite of mine as Jennifer and I keep going back there for drinks, lunch or for dinner. (Incidentally the Venetian is the first all-suites hotel on the famed Las Vegas Strip.) We just love the setting … Gondolas and all, the Grand Canal Shoppes, Waterside cafes, and there a Bar there with a ‘welcome mat’ second to none. They simply do not want you to leave. My favorite of all, however, are the paintings on the Ceiling (at the entrance) at this Venetian Resort Hotel. The artwork is very reminiscent of 19th century Renaissance Art. I was in absolute amazement when I saw the paintings on my first visit there last August. It immediately brought to mind the famous Michelangelo painting depicting the Creation of Adam. I must have taken at least 30 – 40 exposures of the ceiling artwork.
