Salton Sea
This photo is hot! Share it!
The Salton Sea is basically the leftover of a man-made environmental disaster that happened at the beginning of the 19 hundreds when the Colorado River flowed into the Salton Sink (southern California). It celebrated it's high times with beach resorts and fishing shops in the 1950's but then salinity levels and pollution killed off most fish species.
Today, all that remains is a couple sleepy towns and a changed environment. What a surreal area.

The contrast of nature and industry is a stark example for this story. Good job.
