I thought about this theme, and wanted, at first, to submit a picture of bad actions and consequences of human activity on the environment, such as pollution, destruction of natural resources etc.
And I realized that human intervention cannot and is not only negative, it also has positive sides.
If we think about Machu Picchu, for example.
This incredible site has been created by Man in the middle of nothing.
The modern world has understood the importance of this, by protecting and preserving what constitutes
part of our heritage and culture.
All this to state that consequences and effects of human activity on the natural landscape can also create our history.
I had the chance to visit this fabulous site in September 2007.
