Horse ride

If you plan to go horse riding for long distance or many days, you have to take more than one horse for the ride. Then it is possible to rest one, while you ride the other, without stopping. This is haw you do it, you keep them by the side of the horse you are riding at the time.

This is amazing! I have never heard of this, and I have horses, and ride them! Educational, and also, a wonderful and unusual picture! And here comes the lone horse, coming up behind the three! I love this!

Thank you Laura. To take one or more horse along for the ride, and keeping them by the side of your horse, is an old Icelandic tradition. From when people traveled mostly on horses around the Country, sometimes for many days.

How cool!!! I never knew this either....out of necessity comes invention, eh? Do the other horses make it difficult to ride? Great capture, awesome story!!

Thank you Stacey for your great comments. :-)
From what I gather, it dos not make it much harder to ride. The horses learn fast, and adopt to the situation.
