BLUE-HEADED HUMMINGBIRD

BLUE-HEADED HUMMINGBIRD Cyanophaia bicolor 12.5cm. MALE: Head,throat,upper brest and tail violet blue. STATUS AND RANGE: Common residentof Dominica and Martinique. HABITAT: Moist open areas at mid elevations, along streams in mountains. This photograph was taken in Dominica.

    Just beautiful! Such gorgeous blue green iridescent feathers. P.S. I've never seen a hummingbird at rest before. This guy looks like he's looking right at you.
