Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

This image was shot in March 2006 during Condoleeza Rice's visit to Liverpool. I shot it with my 10D and Sigma 10-20 lens. by hanging over the railings and aiming it round the corner. This was taken on Hope Street just near the Philharmonic Hall.
