This is Mary Lovins. We met up to do her musician photos at a beautiful estate in the hollywood hills, and of all of the places on the grounds, she was insistent on shooting in this bedroom, next to the dresser.
When I shrugged and asked her why, she explained that her grandmother painted all of the furniture by hand, and in a way, it was all she had left of her.
I know it's a simple shot, but i means so much to her, and that makes it mean so much to me.
