Sunnyside Park/Lake Ontario, Winter 2007. Another animal dead washes up on the beach and the children play with it.

Twenty years ago children used to swim in this lake off this beach, now we have swimming advisories that tell us more often than not the water isn't safe.

It's possible that this animal died of natural causes, but it's also possible that it's habitat was destroyed by the human touch and led to it's death.

If it's not safe for us, how can it be for anything else to live in?
