On the ever shrinking pacific flyway, there is not much space in some areas for migratory birds to land and rest. Here are some canada geese resting in a drainage ditch along Highway 101. Unfortunately their low angle of descent when landing puts them in harms way with the commuter traffic. We just see these spots a pretty little dots along the way, but just imagine what it used to be like.
