This shot was taken on my recent pass through Cheyenne, Wyoming traveling East on I-80. This stretch of highway last 400 miles and covers some of the most beautiful but treacherous terrain I travel.
Beginning in Evanston you climb the "Three Sisters" at the Divide Interchange (7,470 feet). Then it's on up to passing by the massive Elk Mountain followed by another short but steep climb over Sherman Hill near Laramie. Wyoming is a favorite of mine and I fell in love with this state the first time I saw her. Every time I travel this highway I see something new!
On the North side of the interstate there is a great Western trading post that carries some of the toughest long lasting boots one could ever find. Since I turned 13 I have never worn or owned any shoes other than boots so I love to visit this area when I can! :)
Speaking of Boots... anyone remember this?
