Awaiting the Inferno?
Tehran, Iran.
A day after strict gas rationing was imposed over the entire oil rich country of Iran, and after at least two petrol stations were torched during rioting in Tehran, I peeked below my hotel balcony in the morning to discover some men doing a curious thing -- burning oil! In all fairness, maybe it has nothing to do with the rioting, or more than likely, it did, as part of a training exercise for hotel employees. Anyway, I had to do this at my last job. It's a lot of fun, but maybe not particularly wise to do at the foot of a 15 story hotel tower. Could someone please pass me a kabob?
