Elliðaá (Elliða river)
About 5 minutes drive from where I live in Reykjavik, is Elliðaá (Elliða river). Here just below Elliðavatn (Elliða lake), the river is very calm and runs slowly to wards Elliðaárdal (Elliða river valley). This is pure nature inside the City, where you can fish wild salmon and trout. Elliða river is one of the most popular Salmon fishing river in Iceland, and we got lot of them. In this seen, you can see Bláfjöll (Blue mountains) in the background. Blue mountain are about 15 minutes drive from where I live. There we have a beautiful ski resort, and the mountain view is awesome. I don't have to go far, to get to pure nature and wildlife.
