Evolution of my thoughts on twins, H. and S. Simpson
I used to have a theory that twins were always a bit "off" because they grow up in their own insular twin world and do not learn properly to relate to the world as a distinct and individual person, that they suffer from never truly experiencing the loneliness and helplessness of early childhood. I now realize that twins seem a little off because they are infinitely cooler than me and I have no way of understanding their awesome nature.

Very nice composition and commentary on twins. I think each twin can be their own person, depending on the person. Though I have met several twins also that seem a bit 'off' as you say :-) ...on a side note... ewww, is that a Dell? ;-)

Great shot ... love the expressions, especially on the girl in the forground. Great idea to do a project about twins. I am not a twin, but one of my brothers is very close in age, and we often acted like twins, looked like it as babies, too.

My older brothers were twins, but one was killed in an auto accident with a log from a logging truck. Now my one remaining brother says, "Well, I WAS a twin." It's sad, indeed. They had their own language, and my Mom had to break that up fast before they became, in her words "very, very dysfunctional." It was creepy, those two looking alike, plus my Dad named them Don and Ron, so that even if you could tell them apart, you'd STILL screw up the damn names.

Whoa! Freaky shit...I'm from Carrboro and went to school with these two. Did you have photos hanging in Cafe Driade around a year ago? I remember seeing one of S. Great picture by the way

Love this shot. And how classic it looks. And how odd the guy's shoes look when he stacks them together like that.

I'm a twin and I always thought it meant I was kinda special, but I guess I might be special in that I'm a little off. I think this could be a really cool series if you found more twins! In my experience all twin relationships are different: some still dress like each other as adults (weird...!) and some will go to other extremes to different themselves from each other. It could be cool to try to explore, and there's a lot of them out there once you start asking. Anyways, I love the pic, it's a great shot!
