Skylight

My friend Josh and I were driving back to Lincoln, Nebraska after a day of snapping photos out in rural farmfields, when we started to notice how incredibly bright the lights of Lincoln looked on the cloud deck above us. As we were looking, we stumbled across this old windmill. It seems odd, but up until the last 100 years or so, everyone from the smallest town or the largest city got a good view of the stars in our sky, with nights so dark you could see the Milky Way. Now, often the brightest thing in the sky isn't the heavens -- it's us.
