Emily Baird holds hope of a sustainable future in a handful of cob. Cob is a building material made up of clay, sand, straw, water, and earth and has been likely used since man built its very first structures. Todays version of this style home will feature solar PV and wind power, grid intertie, solar thermal heating, rainwater harvesting from a living roof, composting toilet, grey water re-use, and passive solar design. Let it stand as an example to ourselves and most importantly our children, that we truly hold the power for positive change in the palm of our hands.
