While I chose two female models for this photo, it is less about sexuality and more about the couple. I purposely shot this photo the way I did so that viewers could see come to their own conclusions about it. Some people see the figure on the right as turning towards the one on the left, while others view it as turning away. While I made a specific choice while shooting, I leave it to the viewer to decide what direction they see.

I don't think it matters whether the figure is turning toward its partner or away, the vagueness suggests unrest, and a stage of transition in the relationship. There is a disconnect between the figures, which evokes an emotional response to the photo.
