Mongolian Nieghborhood
This is a picture of a family friend who has devoted her life to the re-introduction of the Takh (przewalski) horses into their homeland of western Mongolia. She lives over half of the year in this house that is about 25 feet in diameter and only about 7 feet high. This way of living shows the littlest amount of human impact I have ever seen. I was lucky to have been visiting when it was time to pick up camp and find another place for the group to stay, maybe closer to a certain food source. Once all the houses had been packed up onto horses and camels I looked back and didn't see one trace of civilization where we had just left. Everything is portable and nothing is wasted.
