Faceless crowds

This was an experiment that turned out right.

I was walking along City Link, an underground shopping mall that links the City Hall MRT station to Suntec City Convention Centre.

There was an IT Show at Suntec and the crowd was huge. Such shows typically attract hundreds of thousands of visitors.

I had gone there to accompany a friend who went to buy a Fuji S100FS.

On the way back, I was struck by the crowd pressing towards me as I went down an escalator.

So I thought I would hold my camera at waist level, set the exposure somewhat long, aim roughly... and shoot.

Hey, the composition turned out pretty good. I even got the vertical lines in the background straight ;-)

Not bad huh?

Thanks :-) Marva for the prop and the suggestion. I already have a more "frenzied" image that is marked as "HOT" - remember the hand prints, which you said has a "desperate feel"?
