Tonight I took my tripod up our highest natural point, Mount Eden. The highest point in the distant left has a pinnacle monument. That's One Tree Hill, the inspiration for the U2 song of the same name.
Looking Southwest the bright lights in distant right are Auckland International Airport which sits on the edge of the Manukau Harbour (the second of Auckland's harbours it faces Australia. I'm pretty sure some guy tried to grab my camera and tripod while I was waiting for this 10 second timer to go off. I loooked at just the right moment, he scratched his nnose and diverted his ath in a completely different direction!
