When JPG announced this theme, we decided to re-use recyclable paper bags for all our grocery shopping to determine by how much we would reduce our plastic bag usage. After a week of using this bag, we estimate that if we continue to use these bags then we'd cut down our plastic bag usage by approximately 50 per month. Goes to show that even a small individual gesture can go a long way.

even better yet, why not buy cloth bags that will last much, much longer?!
