Opening Doors
Double exposure, Barn with storm approaching in the distance, and a scratched up key plate surrounding a door knob
This Barn is unreal, and forgive me for not posting much about it initially, as Nelson had asked a question on it, And feel I should tell you a bit about it.
This barn is from 1810, stained glass windows can be seen above the main slider doors. All of the windows are hand blown glass. The red paint is as brilliant as it looks in the picture, and seems to be be original or had been completely stripped and repainted many many years ago.
Unfortunatley because of location this barn is scheduled for the final phase of leveling to the ground at the end of this coming April. That is to make way for a "wonderful" *cough* chain restaurant. The left side has already been demolished in the fall of 2007.

Yes NElson it is, and unfortunatly this beauty is being torn down At the end of this April. The left side of the crop was already ripped down over the fall last year..Nothing like development, to destroy such a beauty.

The double exposure adds a scratched, daguerrotype feel to this picture. I love it.
Shame that it's getting torn down, I grew up in Vermont and they have laws there for protecting old Barns.
Great Shot. -
