Lightning Strike over Louisville
I was actually just at a Skate Park getting shots of the late night skaters at about 2am. Some oddball storm came in from the south. I ended up running to a big parking lot and setting up the tripod as fast as I could. This was the best shot of the night; complete with branching, the flash and streaking of the strike.

thanks a lot guys, I have a whole series of this storm where the lightning is way off in the distance and just keeps getting closer. The final shot, my shutter is open, lightning hit too close and I grabbed everything for a very blurry action shot. Im hoping to get a lot more as the spring comes and we get more thunderstorms.

Wow. I remember the sky turning neon colors there and then a crazy storm would pop up after that. I could not tell you how many storms I remember from Louisville. Crazy weather there. Great job on capturing it.
