Leaving the creek on my walk yesterday, two damselflies flew past. The Bluet (on top) was carrying the lighter colored damsel. I thought briefly, that it was a mating pair. Not so. Damselflies and dragonflies often prey on each other. I apologize for the Powdered Dancer (a large damsel) not being in focus. I had to be very careful so that I would not disturb them.
My goal was to show the Bluet eating its prey. I think this illustrates it. I got several shots with both in focus. But this was the only one I could show you without cropping.
