a revolt of reason

girls
under the night
poets
whom jes might
forget
about everything
including
this life
eyes like diamonds
give a hard flinch
and
kick at the traffic
hustle
hustle
pockets full of hands
which one is my own
confronting the cold
like
a star
staring into the fold
where
her waist meets the rest of this world
