At most local festivals here in Kentucky there are usually 1-5 dance teams that come to perform. Most often it is a cloggin' group. Cloggin' is a kind of folk dance that is completed by certain steps with a very audible clicking from the metal plates, on the heel and toes of the shoes, hitting the ground. When done correctly, the clicks are all in unison and the dance can be compared with any other that is done with grace and pride.
