Hiking back down from the Point Reyes Lighthouse, really beautiful late afternoon, I sat down to shoot those trees. When the shutter 'clicked', that little girl got ”caught“ while rushing to catch up with her folks. One of those unplanned things...
I loved the result, a feeling of 'magic' for the senses, one of my photos I like the most.
(too bad the shutter speed wasn't 'lower'!)

This is a wonderful accident, isn't it. Such a lovely composition. Such stark trees frame the child. Couldn't have been posed better.....if you had tried. I see why it is a favorite.
