Archbishop Desmond Tutu Speaks in San Francisco Against Human Rights Abuses in Tibet

A free and open society acts as a platform for moral voices worldwide that can galvanize and inspire peopel of all nations to speak out against tyranny and human rights abuses. In this photo, Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desond Tutu speaks out for an end to human rights abuses perpetrated by the Chinese Government in Tibet. This rally for freedom in Tibet took place on 4/8/2008 at UN Plaza in San Francisco on the eve of the Olympic Torch Relay (in SF). During his talk, the Archbishop exuded the spirit of Gandhi and MLK. It was evident how his spirit of justice was a commanding force that led to the end of apartheid in South Africa.
