Peregrine Falcon taking flight....
The Peregrine falcon, once an endangered species, has made an incredible comeback. The fastest animal on earth, able to dive at speeds in excess of 200mph, this is one amazing bird. This particular bird was taking off from the glove of a falconer at a bioblitz (a 24 hour event where scientists and volunteers catalog as many species as possible) in Westchester, NY.
