I gently herded all 1/2 inches of this fuzzy little critter onto a large white foam board, and spent the next 45 minutes at various height, angle and lighting with a Canon 100mm f2.8 1:1 macro on a tripod. I held the remote release in one hand, and a paint brush in the other (because that's what you are supposed to use when you herd 1/2 inch fuzzy spiders around your office).
In the end I think we were both quite exhausted, so I released him back into my garden where he came from, and that, was that.*
