The thorns are alive

Once I went to Porto de Galinhas, Pernambuco, Brazil, and there you can walk in the reefs when the tide is low.
There are a lot of natural pools among the reefs, and they usually are full of fishes and these weird creatures. I've hold one of those, and it's such an amazing feeling: the thorns gently moving...
Now you're looking to my mom holding one, and the white thing is its mouth.
