A hurricane (name I don't recall) had passed by on Kiawah Island, near Charleston, SC. The next day, there were hundreds of starfish laid out on the beach. This one in particular that I found had one of its arms/tentacles raised up as a cry for help... or maybe it was just saying "Hello, make sure not to step on me."

Excellent perspective and I love the clarity of the photo. I like how the beach just fades into the horizon. Very nice!

Great perspective and excellent composition. Perhaps the Loch Ness Monster is actually a giant starfish. I happy to hear you returned him safely to his element. You must have gotten yours knees wet taking this fine photograph.
