Art of Distraction

Wake up! You're too busy looking at the balloons to realize what's going on behind them.

Worse still is how you argue about who should be the next president or senator when it's all just mental masturbastion for you.

Why? Because these people come from the top 1% of the top 1%. Meaning, they represent a very small portion of America. They haven't struggled or been through public school or worried about their next meal.

Republicans and Democrats are all the same because they all can be bought off with the same dwindling American dollar.

What am I saying? Stop bitching about oil companies, gas prices, the war in Iraq and get off your ass and run for office. Don't complain about it unless you're going to do something about it.

So stop staring at the pretty balloons and look straight ahead. Do get distracted by what Democracy has become. Rebuild it to mean something again.

Rant over.

In the Big Cities photo essay.
