Poor Porcupine

This porcupine was in a tree. I think a fisher cat killed it in its standard way of running around the porcupine tiring him out until he falls over from dizziness and exhaustion at which point the fisher cat attacks his soft underbelly. It was very cool to see the mayhem of quills in 20 feet in all directions in little clumps where the porcupine was putting up a good fight.

An interesting, if sad, find. Good angle.

Ian - you must live in the Pacific Northwest. I had a fisher come and visit in the woods at the edge of my property. No one can describe the screaming until they hear it, right?
