Equality.
New Orleans. 1967.
Poverty is an equalizer. These kids saw me passing by, a camera hanging from my neck, then pleaded. "Take our picture." I snapped this shot instantaneously. They were so engaging, I changed my lens to include more information, but all my subsequent shots lacked the vibrant spontaneity of the first shot. I promised to send them copies, which I tried to, but they were returned: "Addressee Unknown."

I love this; I just love Carl, look at that little girlfront right, with the giddiest of smiles and her hands up to her face. This is so very nice. I've a similar shot from years ago taken in a small village north of Nairobi. I know the spontaneity of which you write.
