ANZAC Crosses
Three crosses formed by plaques naming local young men lost in the World Wars.
It's ANZAC day on Friday and we remember our lost boys (and girls). My great great uncle never returned from World War One. It pays to remember the freedom that was purchased with those lives every now and again.
It's interesting to note that during WWII, In waters not far from where I took this a Japanese submarine cruised in and out with little detection.
We remain as free as te air these crosses are made of.

John Linton gave props (7 May 2008):
A very unusual memorial. Great tribute.
