Fire Lit Tree Tops

Hiking deep in the backcountry of the Albertan Rockies, with Pentax and tripod at hand. Our campfire toasted the tops of those trees for some nice warm light on a long exposure.

Hello! Thanks for your comments. Regarding exposure time, I can't quite recall, and seeing as it is film - no EXIF data. But I think it was around the 15 minute mark, taken with an old pentax and the mechanical 'plunger'. I wonder if an astronomer could tell by the length of the star trails...?
