This photo is the product of a fisheye lens, and a wide-angle attachment being used rather experimentally.
I decided to try something a bit different while out wandering a HUGE forest yesterday. The two roads remind me of the famous poem by Robert Frost...
"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference..."

This is an interesting effect. I prefer any artistic representation of life. This is just that. Wonderful, moody, the only thing different I would have done, is not included the modern road lines, but then again maybe that could represent the journey from one place to a new dimension.

Gary, I was about to clone out the road lines, when I realized they flowed with the road and the curves of it, so I decided to leave them in. :)

i always thought that poem was sad--that despite which road the old man took he was going to regret his decision. but despite all that, this is an outstanding picture. good experiment.
