The National Historic Landmark building that houses the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery is one of the oldest public buildings constructed in early Washington, D.C., and is considered one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the United States. Walking around at closing time, was trying to capture the light on the floor. With the sound of footsteps approaching I had to shoot quickly and after arriving home I noticed that on the second image the security guard was there. JgA
